I just got a 2001 neon se today (paseo died  , so its a step up :uhoh: ). I noticed that there was no Tach. I'm just curious, at (or around) what speed does each gear redline.

Sorry if its a dumb question..but i just don't feel cofortable not knowing where i'm at on the tach.

btw...its auto

I got a 99 neon 5 speed it may be different but mine it a around 7 I believe I also had to put in a tach. The Rev limiter is at 7.

Don't manually shift your auto.... its a chrysler... front drive.... your trans will die... quickly. If you really need to be that 1/10th faster leave it in 2nd till 80mph then shift into drive. All manually shifting an auto does is locks up the torqu converter and raises the trans temp and puts more wear on things. My ATX shifter at like 6000 in first at maybe 40 or a little higher, if I had it in 1st which I only did like twice, it redlined/limited at 6700 and maybe like 45-50 mph, second should redline around 80-85 and 3rd redline at 117 where the speed limiter is. But please, save your car and don't mually shift it.
