ingition key not workingssixs 11-23-2004, 07:49 PM I had a replacement key made for my 99 sebring. When I try to start the car, it runs for a second or two the cuts off. I know this is because the replacement key does not have some kind of chip inside to disarm the security alarm. Is there anyway I can make backup keys without having to go to the dealer and paying a ridiculous price for a special key just to have a back up. ponchonutty 11-23-2004, 08:49 PM I had a replacement key made for my 99 sebring. You can read the instructions in your manual on how to program new keys. You can also buy new keys at http://howardkeys.com/ and then take it to the local hardware store to have it cut for you. You can get keys from them for about $15 :iceslolan vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
