Got my Halo Headlights in!!TruRicanPlaya16 11-23-2004, 04:11 PM Well I ordered them about a month or so ago and had them in for a while, but now i finally got time to acutally hook up the HALO eyes, because I ran them on a switch into the car. Since they are known to blow out quickly i put in the switch so I wont have them on all the time when I have my normal headlights on. They looks really nice and I will probably post some pics later tonight or tomorrow when its dark so u can see them. Ricochet 11-23-2004, 06:38 PM ok. Silverbolt 11-23-2004, 08:31 PM From what I have gathered... the halo lights burn out do to poor wiring design. The wires run right under the projector housings. The projector housings usuall melt the wires causing them to short out. TruRicanPlaya16 11-23-2004, 11:11 PM Ricochet - Um ok??? and to SilverBolt - Yea I heard that too, but the angel eyes arent the main thing I care about its just a plus, so if they DO burn out I really dont mind because I really like the look of these projector Headlights, thats the real reason why I bought them. But for running these for a month and I deliver pizza so I have my lights on all the time, the wires never melted, i think its because for these lights they used something else to cover the wire instead of the usual, its something that isnt...meltable. I guess I got some good ones. Silverbolt 11-24-2004, 05:09 AM Yeah... same here. I didnt buy them for he halo's... they were just a plus. I liked them for the looks, and I wanted for their projectors so I can install HIDs in them... which I must say look VERY nice! I'm so glad I finally did it! eckoman_pdx 11-26-2004, 05:59 PM Yeah... same here. I didnt buy them for he halo's... they were just a plus. You never posted which HID kit you went with finally. Silverbolt 11-27-2004, 07:50 AM :D Yeah, I've been lazy to go take pictures and post a thread about it... plus I've been busy with the hollidays. I'll see if I have time to put it up this weekend. I actually went with a pair that I wasnt even looking into. I went with a company called Xetronic ( www.hidexpress.com ). The reason I went with their 6000k kit was because the wholesale shop I deal with carries them and they said it was good. Since I was able to get it at wholesale, it made it alot more considerable. Also, they come with a 1 year warrenty... but through cheating the system, I have a lifetime warrenty. If anything ever happens to them, I can just have the wholesale shop write me up a fake receipt or something and have it all covered! They're very bright, and comparable to BMW's HIDs, which seem to have the most blueish tint of the stock HIDs. edbaseball17 12-30-2004, 08:37 PM I just put mine in tonight . . where do i run the wires to for the halo's? I have all the other lights connected, just dont know how to run the wires to get the halos to work. that switch idea sounds good. If you could give me a quick idea of how you wired it, i would really appreciate it. -ed btw. . . i need to wire a set of m3 mirrors with the turn signals on them as well .. if anyone can help me with that too . . . thanks Greenblurr93 12-30-2004, 08:57 PM Halos = the wire to your turn signal that doesnt flash. M3's = the wire to your turn signal that does flash. oh ya. if a thread is more than a month old... its usually considered "dead" please dont post in them.... do a search. TruRicanPlaya16 01-01-2005, 02:38 PM If you want to run a switch like i did I can explain it best I can, because it might be a little confusing. Heres what I did (your gonna need extra wire of course.) 1. Ran the two halos from one side to the other two halos and connected the wires together according to color of course. 2. Took the negative wires and spliced into it and connected it to chassis then continued from there and ran the negative to the switch. 3. I ran the positive wires to the switch then. 4. Then the power wire from the switch I ran to the battery or you can run it to the fuse box. It might sound confusing as hell but if you look at it your self it should be really easy, because it is. TruRicanPlaya16 01-01-2005, 02:52 PM http://profiles.yahoo.com/rican_boy87 Check that out it has a picuture on what you need to do. The switch has 3 parts to it because on my switch when I turn it on it glows to let me know its on. edbaseball17 01-02-2005, 01:58 AM great, thanks. . i installed the lights, just trying to figure out how to get them to look right. the right head light is facing the ground, and the left is shooting too high. been googling but can't find how to align them. SilverY2KCivic 01-03-2005, 03:04 AM Ehh, halos are over rated and meant for Bimmers... =\ City lights are where it's at!! http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/6322lights_night-med.jpg Just my :2cents: though... eckoman_pdx 01-03-2005, 05:42 AM great, thanks. . i installed the lights, just trying to figure out how to get them to look right. the right head light is facing the ground, and the left is shooting too high. been googling but can't find how to align them. There are alginement screws on the back of the headlight housing. There will be 2 aglinment screws, one to adjust the light horizontally and one to adjust it vertically. Each light has agliment screws. Your headligths will have 2 sets of alginment scres per headlight; one set for the low beam and one for the high beam on each housing. To adjust the lighting aim you simply turn the screw with a screwdriver. Park on a level surface 20-25 feet from a flat wall. Turn the lights on, and twist the screws to adjust the aim. The screws will be on the backside of the housing in the engine bag, usually near where the lightbulbs install into the high beams and low beams. On Projector there is one aiming screw on each side of the lightbulb covers usually. You'll have to turn them and look at how the light is being adjusted to see which screw adjust what on your lights. Look around and you'll find the aiming screws. If you really can't find them I can try and find a picture, but they are pretty easy to spot. TruRicanPlaya16 01-22-2005, 05:06 PM Here goes some pics I finally got of them the other day. http://img82.exs.cx/img82/6262/eyes7ff.jpg http://img82.exs.cx/img82/3437/eyes23yc.jpg civicnation425 01-22-2005, 09:24 PM I had mine for 6 months, never had a problem and wired them straight to my parking lights. I always drove around with them on, and never had a short or anything. gotta love cheap ebay knock-offs  TruRicanPlaya16 01-23-2005, 12:27 AM lol yup, Ive had mine for a while too and no problems. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
