I have an f350 7.3L diesel 1 ton crew cab xlt. When warm it runs for 5 to 10 min then shuts off with no sensor faults showing up.I have a hypertech pwr. programmer and i changed back to factory settings and still same problem.I live in edmonton alberta and it is getting cold at night now around -5 to 10 deg. c .So I filled the tank and added a bottle of methyl hydrate (Fuel line antifreeze) and still same faults....my DTCs from the OBD II are as follows....1. P 1249 2. P 0478 3. P 0470
Heres the wierd one P FFA ? The first three are fuel and emission ie: exaust gas temp etc... emissions...no big deal they are common to my truck and havent caused any grief before......ANY IDEAS or help would be immensly appreciated.

No codes suggests that the CMP sensor is going out. It runs well until it quits? If so, pull the fuel filter canister cover, if you have good clean fuel, replace the CMP sensor.

You could try the CPS senser, Camshaft Position Sensor. Usually the trucks die when it goes out but can still fire over and run at times. Over 90% of the time when it fails there is no check engine light.

If you want to help out Ford go there and pay $180+ for the part or find any International Harvester dealership and give them $90 for the same part with a 1 year unlimited mileage warranty, Fords warranty is 1 year 12K miles.

Changing the fuel filter is another good idea, as is the air filter.
