OK, this bothered me for a good month.
I have a 98 Dodge Ram 4x4 ext. cab truck and when I would drive and make a turn I would hear this load clunking sound, like two peices of metal hitting. Well, I would check it and nothing would be out of place and I feared I was going to have to take it in and cost a fortune.

I decided to replace the stabilizer bar links, and when I removed the right side (passenger side) it was in two pieces !!!! when i would make my turn it would seperate and come back together and hit, which was the loud niose I heard, however, when I would have the truck in park and look at the suspension, I could not see that nothing was wrong because it seperated where the rubber boot is.

So if you are experiencing anything like this, it is a rather easy fix.

Could you get pics of the new and old stabilizer bars? Mine makes a loud noise when I turn the wheel too.

I am sorry I can not get pics of the old ones as they are gone now. But it is an easy fix, I can get pics of the new ones if you'd like.

I will do it tomorrow when it is light out.
