Turbo charge or notjmsf 11-22-2004, 06:19 PM I have a 93 Prelude VTEC with 83,000 miles on it. I want to get more horsepower. Does it make sense to do a turbocharger? How much horsepower can I get and how easy is it to put one in? What is the cost, best one for my engine and any other thoughts to help me out here. Would it make sense to add a custom exhaust too? I am new to this to any help would be appreciated. J Integrity1 11-23-2004, 12:39 AM if u plan on racin then turbo yeah otherwise no. hp #'s too many variables to tell. easy to put on yes and no. YES: some jus bolt on NO: preparing ur car for turbo larger spark, more fuel and better air flo out the engine. also turbo "accesories" B.O.V. intercooler, boost controler etc. cost for everything ABOUT $5000 for a good one. my thoughts take ur time and custom exhaust yes. stefan525 11-26-2004, 11:00 AM I spent $1500 for all my turbo set up. I did buy used parts and made some of my own charge piping and install all the turbo kit myself but its all worth while when your finish product looks like this. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_img_a/361622_97_full.jpg left lane its my best run. right lane my buddy Wayde http://www.intecracing.com/WB5A.gif vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
