Headlight plastic covers - yellow and dullEddie57 11-22-2004, 01:47 PM Does anyone know how to bring back the shine to the headlight covers on the 1996 altima's. THey are made of plastic. THe sun has made the covers dull and yellowish. If anyone has an idea on how to restore them or bring life back to them, I would appreciate any tips on how to do so. Thanks in advance, Eddie mcontrols 11-23-2004, 08:21 AM Good question Eddy57. I'd like to know that too. Don't want to shell out $149 each for new ones. For inside problems, you can put the light assembly in a oven under low temp. remove and pull apart, clean, reheat and reassemble. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Eddie Mrbizness1 11-28-2004, 09:01 PM You can order it from their website, but it costs more plus the shipping and handling. Not all auto stores have it, I found it at Aid auto stores in the N.Y. area for $6.99 after trying Pep Boys,Auto Zone, and Walmart.
