Everytime I move my steering wheel I hear plastic being crumbled. My airbag light goes on and I cant honk my horn. The airbag must have inflated a little. Can this happen and if not what then?

The same thing happened to me. I haven't yet made arrangements for repair--I spoke to my mechanic and since he didn't know, I told him I would attempt research on the matter. He did say that he repaired a similar problem on a Chrystler, finding two broken wires.
