I am new to this forum and i would like to say hi ya'll, but enyways i have a 82 280zx turbo and i have not done enything to it yet but i want to put a turbo timer, very important, a boost controler and and intercooler but i dont no were to start with the intercooler cuz the cheapest one i have found is $2000 and i dont have that kind of money so i was wondering if eny body could give me some info on how to build one. and if eny one cloud tell me some other mods i can do to the engine or the trans cuz i have a AT but i dont know were to start in moding it.

Rather than running a intercooler why not use water/alky injection and save tons of money. $2,000 well buy lots of water/alky and if setup right can handle lots of boost.
The important thing is how far do you intend on going? You said you weren't made of money so we need to know is what results it is your after.

You can probably find a good used one in a junk yard... they are pretty much 'universal'.
