I have a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu. I've had 2 major problems with it in the past. I bought it brand new. First problem was the engine overheating but that was due to a busted radiator. I didn't have an accident so I don't know why it was busted. Got that replaced. Next problem, I would be driving and then it just shut down. Scared me to death! I was on the interstate each time. Got it checked out and the fuel injector was bad. Got that replaced. Now I have the problem of when I start accelerating, the car seems to not want to go. It seems to go into overdrive or something. Also, when stopped at a traffic light, my temperature gauge increases. Not to mention, my signal lights have stopped working. They are steadily lit and this loud noise sounds off. The A/C cuts off on its own. Also, my windshield wipers will suddenly stop mid-swipe. Has anyone encountered any of these problems? If so, what was the cause? I'm trying to get it fixed without paying an arm and a leg. I've loved the car since I got it. The mileage is great and the handling too. Any help is definitely appreciated.

I don't know about the overheating problem that you have but other problem may have caused by weak alternator. If you have a multimeter then check the voltage of your alternator, it should generate 12~14V or higher and if alternator is bed get it replaced with rebuilt alternator or fix it, if you bring bad alternator to starter/alternator specialty shop, they will either fix it for cheap price or give you discount when you buy rebuilt one. New alternator is pretty expensive.
