Broken exhaust manifold bolts in 6.0ltrdpatrick 11-18-2004, 02:06 AM Hi there, I have noticed that I have two broken exhaust manifold bolts. Both on the drivers side, one at the far rear and one at the very front. Because of the minimal clearance at the back, I suspect that I will have to remove the head to drill them out. Has anyone else had this misfortune? This will cost me about $1500 cad. I don't want to have to do this again. I use this truck for pulling a RV so it gets a good work out once and awhile. I was looking at a set of Edelbrock headers. Would the headers have less stress on the manifold bolts. I am told that tese headers have ports for the sensors etc. Thanks GL Massie 01-22-2005, 08:40 PM Hi there, I have noticed that I have two broken exhaust manifold bolts. Just got it back last Monday from the Chev. Dealer with the second repaired bolt. dpatrick 01-03-2006, 05:48 AM Took the truck in to a different dealer and they were able to drill them out for about 500.00 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
