i hav a question .. rite now i have 2 10 in comp vrs and i only have a kx400 watt mono amp and it sounds ok but i really want something else. i was thinking about gettin a kx600 watt mono amp to run the two i have now cuz it puts out 600 watts rms and my subs need 300 watt rms so it works out. but i also wanted to get another 10 in comp vr and have three and just use my 400 watt amp to run taht one. so i wud have 2 subs off the 600 watt amp and 1 sub of the 400 watt amp.. wud it work and how would i split up the power and connect the two amps the the amp power wire.

i would work but would also be a pain in the ass, how about you sell that kick amp, and get an amp to power all 3 subs........

if you are really set on doin that then you would need a distrobution block, and probly need to upgrade your power and ground wires. run the main power wire to the distrobution block, and run 2 power wires off the disto block, then each one into one amp.

Not a good idea, not because it'd be a pain to wire up, but because you'd have 3 subs running on different amps. It's a pain to level match everything when you just have 2 identical amps, not to mention 2 completely different amps.

how would he split the rcas to power 3 speakers and not 2?

how would he split the rcas to power 3 speakers and not 2?

he'd have to use the output rca's on one of the amps, if the amp even has outputs.

i'm also useing a distro block, but it would jsut be a pain do use one when it isn't nescessary....

maybe hope that his headunit has more extra RCA's, i'm nto sure if they make RCA's adapters that will allow him to use one rca cable for two amps.....

it's called an rca splitter, it's like $2 at best buy

That is true, I just bought one for my car. They are really cheap, and they work great.

alright thats all i wanted to kno pretty much but when you split them does the voltage cut in half and make it not as clear or would it stay the same?

It will always lose amps when you share power with another unit, but your 600 will be enough that you won't be disapointed. I did this with mine, and it sounds sweet as hell. I tested it a few ways, but the best was the split. Don't go more then two however. This will really drain the power. Good Luck.

There will be a very very very slight drop in voltage, but it's nowhere near audible, even if it's split 10 times. Of course if it were split 10 times your headunit would most likely start having some problems with the resulting current draw.

Voltage is not cut in half, voltage stays the same, but the current draw from the headunit doubles.
