I am on my 3rd set of front brake rotors for my 1995 Windstar. (The second set I had turned, so actually 4 different applications) Replaced the pads with the 2nd set. This latest set is heavy duty and they are again starting to warp. I also replaced the rear pads and one leaking wheel cylinder when I installed this latest set. I thought this might be the probelm with the rear brakes not operating correctly, putting too much heat on the front rotors. With this last set I torked wheel lug nuts to Ford specs, which someone suggested might be the problem, but same "warped" results. Anyone have any similar experience and found a solution. Would vented rotors help?

I had rapid pad and rotor wear on my '99 until I learned to do a good job lubricating the caliper guide pins.. the ones with the boots. The lube I like best is "Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lube", packaged for NAPA (#765-2429) by Permatex.

By the way, the bolts holding the guide pins in place are specified to have 26 ft lbs torque... assuming the arrangement is the same as a '99.

Proper torque is important. At least consistent torque on each lug. Usually good quality rotors do not warp until they are machined. Once machined they tend to warp very easily. If you are having new rotors warp then either they are of inferior quality of you have a heat issue. 12Ounce's findings are interesting as improperly greased pads may not fully release and may drag. This drag will not allow the rotors to cool between stops.
