my check engine light recently came on... the following morning i had problems turning on my car... it took about 5-6 tries before it finally turned on. i drove it top work and got me to safely. once i got out from work it did the same thing. once drivin home it turned off on me. it felt as it wasnt gettin enough gas. didnt start up til about half an hour later. finally i got home and checked my problem codes on. i also checked my fuel pressure .my fuel pressure was real low at about 20 psi. and i got the following codes 340,300,302,303,304,305,306,171,174. i had a mechanic friend of mine look at and he told me it was probably my fuel pump. to make a long story short i changed my fuel pump this weekend and still the same problem going on. any help would be greatly appreciated

Those codes seem wrong i think they supposed to be 2 digit codes. Dont change more parts tiil u sort the codes out. sounds like crank sensor though.

well to start off u have afuel system problem somewhere, have u changed the Fuel pressure Regulator.

Fault Codes:
340 - No Cam Signal
300 - Misfire on multiple cylinders
302 - Misfire #2 Cylinder
303 - Misfire #3 Cylinder
304 - Misfire #4 Cylinder
305 - Misfire #5 Cylinder
306 - Misfire #6 Cylinder
171 - Right Rear (or just) Fuel System Lean
174 - Fuel system 2/1 too lean.

start by repacing the cam sensor and take it from there
email me if u need instructions on replacement

Is it a 4.0 liter? If it is,look at the oil pump drive.it's the part that the cam sensor bolts onto.Look at where the hold down bracket is and see if there are marks on the housing that look like it turned. If it has marks,it probably locked up and the gear is probably broken. If you pull it out,you will see what I'm talking about. Those things have a habit of locking up.Unfortunately,if it breaks the gear your oil pump quits. If your motor is knocking that might have happened.Sometimes they just move a little and then it just runslike garbage because the timing is wrong. But either way if it has marks llike it moved, replace it.
