RWD in the Snow

Anyone around the Northern IL area drive a RWD car around in the winter as your daily driver??? I may be getting either an LS1 Camaro or a Grand National in the spring and since I can't afford a beater for winter I'll be driving it in the winter when I can't use my mom's car. We do have an old 2wd Dakota that's not too bad in the winter when it's loaded down with close to 200lbs of salt in the bed so I might be able to use that but I'm not sure. Guess I'm just trying to think things out right now and getting other people's opinions on this will help me out a lot. TIA!!!

I used to drive a rwd car and also drove my 2wd pickup in the winter without problems. I am in central mn. A little sand weight goes a long ways.

Ok thanks...if I got a RWD car I was planning on some decent snow tires and some sand and/or salt in the trunk of the car, that should be alright right???
