If it's a automatic it would be the front or rear seal or pan gasket. If it's a standard front or rear seal. Can be critical depending on how much is leaking. A few drops a day is ok, till you get it fixed, but more than that is a problem. Hope it's a rear seal.

its a seal somewhere im betting. look in a manual for where the seals are and see exactly which seal its leaking from. good luck..

could anything else be the problem besides the seal. been that it may be the seals i would still have to drop the tranny.

Best thing to do is de-grease the underside of the car and then keep an eye on the location of the leak. I don't know much about the nissan auto tranny but I have seen the o-rings on the chevy tranny at the dipstick tube go bad as well..

Now I know it's a automatic, next question, does the leak appear on the front, rear or side of the transmission? If it's on the front you'll have to drop the tranny to fix. Any other you can do it in the car. Try and get it as clean as you can and pinpoint the leak.

And make sure its tranny fluid and not a different fluid from another location. Clean Clean Clean make sure ALL fluids are topped off and keep a close eye on the fluids.

Well its not going to get any better..That I can say for sure. Make sure its not fluid from the slave cyl....Is the fluid on the trans body itself?..Or behind it?.....
