has anyone done dyno tests on stock for stock 99 4.8 liter and a 2002 5.3??

i thought i read somewhere that the 5.3 was like 245ish or something and that the 4.8 210ish???

If I am not mistaken its closer to 265-280 in the 5.3? I could be off but its been awhile.

In the back of Truckin' magazine they have a big list of factory trucks and all their ratings. It says for an 03' Silverado ext. cab with a 5.3 it is 285 hp @ 5,200 rmp. They dont have anything on the 4.8 though.

Yeah those are all flywheel #'s

those numbers are correct for the 2000's, not sure about other years, but the HP has increased every year or two in all engines.... I don't know the exact numbers though...
