I know this is a basic question, but for some reason, we can't get the tail light assembly to come out, we unscrew the two screws when we lift up the lift gate and there seems to be something catching on the front left of the light, but don't want to break anything. how does that come out. It is for a 02 Grand Cherokee, any help would be appreciated.

I guess no one is around that would know this, any answers would help a lot thanks.

Iam not sure about 02 but other years that I have dealt with have 3 screws holding the Tail Light in. 1 on top & 2 on the side. make sure the wirring harness is not holding the light ass. in. Dont force it out sometimes there is a screw from the back or side thats hard to see!

well we looked around for that other screw but it's no where in sight, it's almost like the front of it is held in with something that allows it to be held down. thanks for your reply i'm gonna go see if that's it or not if it is a screw. thanks, if anyone else knows please reply
