Can anyone recomend a remote starter kit for a 99 malibu? Do any kits come with detailed, specific instrucstions(or videos)? Something more than just a wireing diagram?

Go to your local shop and have them install a remote starter.

I've had a Prostart remote starter put in my 02 Malibu. If you're going to do it yourself, don't go with Prostart - there's no real help for a DIY'er. I think Bulldog is a company that offers remote starters and offers help for DIY'ers.

However, you will also need to install a bypass module (to get around the PASSLock system), and some resistors... needless to say, it was too much hassle for me, I had my local Canadian Tire install it.
