Brushguards and grille protectorsblazzingbrandon 11-12-2004, 11:26 PM I was wondering how good those aftermarket brushguards and grill guards are. Do they really protect, and against what... a tiny accident, lol. I'm really considering getting one, not just to make it look better but to maybe protect me from some minor font end collisions. forest_grump 11-26-2004, 06:18 AM They do what they say and in a bad accident(is there ever a good accident?) can take out your hood and tweek your frame really nice...but on the flipside do protect you in minor accidents from bumper/grill damage and are great on 4x4's for pushing brush down as you go over it pushing cattle out of way.As well as makes a nice mount on some for winch to hoist self, deer, elk, hogs and drunk friends passed out...lol forest_grump 11-26-2004, 06:23 AM They also can make for a nice surf rod holder or front mounted seat if modified like an old one I had that I mounted a front receiver hitch on for the beach..can use back receiver hitch for a lugage/gear rack as well..just have one welded with a flat deck that slides into receiver hitch...put in your pin.Creativity as always has it benifeits at times...be creative lol BCowley 11-28-2004, 06:01 PM Dont know much about the functionality but I have one my 97 and I thought I would let you see what it would look like.
