I'm in need of removing the harmonic balancer to replace the oil seal, however, I think to remove the bolt holding the balancer, it turns counter clockwise facing it, is this correct or am I trying to loosen it the wrong way?

thanks for any help..

left to loosen. however...you may need to get a tool called 'harmonic pulley holder'. it attaches to any 1/2" ratchets/breaker bars. if you notice on your pulley that it has a hexagon space around the bolt...thats where the holder goes. the center of the holder is hollow...allowing you to get another breaker bar w/ the proper socket and turn it loose

If a cordless impact takes your crank pully off I'll give you all my air tools.

At least a half inch impact wrench, or jumping on a 12 foot breaker bar will loosen the harmonic pulley with ease.
