I've come to understand that there are many people like me, in that we just can't stop buying models faster that we can build them. So here post all the cars in your house that are in progress, it doesn't matter how long its been since you worked on it. For example a Revell Integra that you stopped working on 18 months ago because you messed up the paint, post it!. Also tell us what you've bought just for parting out, so we know what parts we can try and scam out of each other... :uhoh: haha.

The Chevy needs a new paint job, some filling, sanding, and a lot more. the cobra just needs some work with the engine, underbody, and suspension. Oh, and the windsheild. Other than that, she's done. The 3-tone paint looks perfect. I'll post up some pic when we get the new camera software loaded up into the computer. the new camera has MACRO!! woot!

Wow, you guys have a lot of projects. I only have two right now:

Incomplete (For years):
Tamiya Focus WRC. Why? Because I finally got a perfect paintjob with primer and everything for the first time, then I accidentally dripped paint onto the decal sheet and ruined everything. Then I gave up. When I moved, I busted the Focus' wheels in process. I guess it can be fixed.

Current:
Fujimi 500SL. Nothing done. Except I've glued some custom wide wheel arches on. Epoxy putty going on soon.

Happy to see that I'm not alone putting up a stock, more or less everything is started and in some state of progress. Some of them will probably never get finished due to AMS (Advanced Modelling Syndrome) where you never seems to get enough references, tools, gadgets and who knows what else will come up next week or so that I need for exactly this or that project!? I don't really care, as long as I'm having fun doing all this. Would be fun for a change to put more than the average one or two models a year on the shelf, but it just seems I can't maintain focus on one from start til finishing it. This Bl***y forum doesn't do any good in keeping me focused either, there is to much fun going on here! It's like being a child in a candy shop, I wan't, I wan't, I wan't......BTW, I'm going to my LHS today, and I will probably have to edit this post after that visit. I know I will have some paint and glue with me when I leave....sure as bird flies there will be this model laying on the shelf silently whispering -Hey gourgerous...take me home and play with me. :evillol: The story will continue, for ever and ever and ever and.......they will keep sneaking up behind your back when you least expect them to do.

Edit: There sure was a little sweetie pie that lured me to take a look underneath. Now I can add the '63 Nova from Trumpeteer to the list...come to think of it, I also have their STRV 103C. Also forgot to tell you guys and gals that the MRS. P. has a little stuffed away in my pile stock to. She has a Morgan 4/4 from Tamiya, a '59 Caddilac convertible from Monogram, a Airfix Tiger Moth, Airfix Austin Healey Frog eye 1/32 and some figurines from Fujimi. But that pretty much is it!

Well currently in progress is a Fujimi Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86. The kit is the one from the touge series, and it will be metallic blue with black bumpers, maybe a black or cf hood.

Then I have a Fujimi Integra Type - R lying around. I had almost completet it but then I f*cked up the paint on the body. Now I'm going to rebuild it. Old color was a bright green, the new one will probably be a dark metallic red. For the wheels I'm thinking about using the wheels of the Tamiya Porsche 991 GT3... They look SO cool on the ITR. I'd just have to modify the exhaust, so they fit in the wheelarches, since now the exhaust blocks one of the rear wheelarches for the rear wheels of the GT3. They are simply too wide. So I'm thinking about shortening the exhaust and letting it stick out on the side of the body, just in front of the rear wheel arch.

Then I have some untouched kits lying around. The only progress I made is some planning in my mind. I have a Tamiya 991 GT3, I'm not too sure about the color but I think something bright would look good. Maybe a very bright pink :D or fluorescent (is the spelling right?) orange. For the wheels... since I probably am going to use the kit wheels on the ITR I'm thinking about getting some nice Aoshima 19" wheels. Well aslong as I don't have decided on color, and don't have all necessary supplies and wheels I won't start this kit.

I also have Fujimi Mercedes 190E AMG DTM. This is going to be box stock, or I'll do a bit of detailing on it.

Currently I am waiting for 2 kits to arrive with the mail. They are a Aoshima Skyline R30 and a Aoshima Mitsubishi Pajero. I don't have any ideas for the Skyline right now, but I think on the Pajero I'm going to try adding a mud effect.

I dont know how you guys start so many!!!
I have one on the go at the moment and that is the GT4.
The 1/12 Camaro is next.
I dont like starting more then one at a time as i'd end up like you guys and have about 10-20 unbuilt ones!!!.
I like to focus on 1 kit at a time.

All mine need alot of scratchbuilt stuff so they are taking too long.

1966 GT350H - with modern engine and IRS, Brembos with 18" wheels, 2 seater conversion, stereo, opening boot with fuel cell, droptank, smoothed engine bay, smoothed underbody, shaved badges and handles, needs scratch built front suspension.

1970 Monte carlo Lowrider - awaiting BMF and some compound, and for me to put final touches on the engine/engine bay and lastly to figure out where to stick the hydros in the boot.

1963 Chevy corvette convertible with scratch built rear chassis (anybody who has severely modifed a Revell 63 corvete or 67 corvette coupe will understand why i cut the rear half out), needs suspension all round, has had severe body smoothing and also needs brakes.

That's all until next weekend when I'll probably buy another one...

I started two more today. The CHEAP AMT 94 Corvette convertible is already painted through the final wetcoat (I love Duplicolor), has the interior painted and assembled, and the engine as well. Then, because I didn't have any more flat black for the chassis work etc, I tore apart the 35th Anniversary Camaro I built a while back and have been polishing on it for hours. I built this one back in the days before I used primers and clearcoats, so it despirately needed some TLC. And it is definately paying me back for it, the car is like glass now! I'm not even going to clearcoat it.

I went to thin my collection a little a couple of years ago and discovered that I am no collector.... I have started 127 models and only 62 were unmolested!! I'll skip the listing, it would take too long!!!
