Hey Guys, Got another question on this LTD I just bought. Took it in to have brakes checked and when I got it back, now the blower is not working. Worked fine when I took it in. All the lights work on the panel but no air. A/C doesn't work either??? Any ideas. Need heat, Its cold here!

Check your fuses first. Not sure which one it is on 99 my 96 is #7. If you have Automatic Tepmperature Control could be a bad high speed blower relay or AtC Power Module.

probably your resistor or the motor itself. The wiring harness is also prone to cause problems. Look behind your glovebox and try to locate the motor. You should see where the harness plugs in. try wiggling the connection.

the control module has three wires that over heat and melt together causing a short. try wiggling the wires, if the blower starts to work it is the wires. I bought the wiring harness @ 90 dollars, cut & spliced the new conector into the control module. it has worked fine since then. it was a pain in the ass but alot cheaper than having the dealer replace the whole wire harness for $600

You know...You guys are always right on the $$$$!
Played with the wires on the passenger side under the carpet behind the glove box....and guess what....The blower kicked right on....Tanx

you are going to have to fix that wire connector, it will eventually fuse together and stop working. I did the jiggle the wires thing for about 3 weeks.

we are having the same problem, over 1 year now...we replaced the blower motor for about $ 500, now the blower is still not working...we just tried wiggling the wires and it worked!!! however, do you think we didn't have to replace the blower motor??? did we waste $?

All I know is that I replced the wire harness and have not had a problem since. It has worked perfectly for a few months now. I think you wasted $500, sorry

it was over a year ago so no part number, I went to the jeep dealer parts dept. and asked him. he knew right away what I was talking about(big surprise). the heater worked right up to the day I traded in that piece of crap. I had many more problems with the car along the way. My advice is get out now. the 99 cherokee is a machanical misfit
