Finished - Ferrari Boat!CADguy 11-12-2004, 01:44 AM Yes that's right a Ferrari Boat! This is the 1953 Arno XI. The kit is 1:43 and by Provence Moulage. It was fairly simple, and a lot of fun. It only took me a few nights to complete it. The only difficult part was the rear rudder assembly. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/caddguy025/Arno%20XI/f780f877.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/caddguy025/Arno%20XI/618387c1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/caddguy025/Arno%20XI/ArnoXI_03.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/caddguy025/Arno%20XI/ArnoXI_04.jpg superitalianred 11-12-2004, 02:22 AM wow ,stunning work ,I `ve never seen such a ferrari before. want a supra 11-12-2004, 02:27 AM thats is soo nice, love the wood on it. potsie 11-12-2004, 02:27 AM What a great model, and what an interesting subject! ZoomZoomMX-5 11-12-2004, 09:13 AM Would be cool to have the whole collection of those old race boats...Maserati etc. Indeed, but I have too many old American boats to build (Caddy's, Lincolns, Buicks...   ). So who's now inspired to build a James Bond-esque aquatic Enzo? :icon16: rx7king 11-12-2004, 09:31 AM never seen anything like it:lol: CADguy 11-12-2004, 11:10 AM Thanks for all the awesome comments guys.. :) I'm sure this will be something unique in the sea of Ferraris at our ACME car show tommorow. Bas Carwash 11-12-2004, 12:28 PM That's awesome. I like it :D blackf40 11-12-2004, 02:01 PM Hey, i seem to remember reading about this thing. Wow, leave it to Ferrari to make a beautiful thing out of any vehicle they build! Great build--the detail would have suggested a larger scale than 1:43. Compliments on the wood deck. 360spider 11-12-2004, 04:48 PM Very cool! GvEman 11-12-2004, 05:32 PM Awsome! one of it's kind! the most beautifull ferrari i have seen;) ec437 11-12-2004, 05:36 PM Beautiful! :sunglasse Just don't give Ferrari any brilliant ideas for a tow vehicle. Love the woodgrain, is it decal? CADguy 11-13-2004, 12:37 AM Cool! Love the woodgrain, is it decal? The deck on top is an opaque decal in two halves. The two decals matched up perfectly. The woodgrain on the sides is only the dark grain. I painted the bottom tan and then applied the clear decal with woodgrain on it to simulate planks. It came out pretty realistic. Thanks all.. :) thaidiecast 11-13-2004, 05:35 AM Nice wood!!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
