performance mods?????mustangfreak145 11-11-2004, 06:07 PM i have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee leradeo 4x4 and i am looking for performance mods. any superchargers. or turbo kits? any stroker kits things like that ChadEbert 11-11-2004, 07:33 PM Seems like a lot of money to spend on a '94. I'd just throw a Borla cat-back exhaust on it and look into a cool air intake. Putting more than half the worth of the car into it is on my list of things not to do. But if money isn't an object, aim for the stars. dksob81 11-11-2004, 09:02 PM I have been looking for some good performance mods for my 94 ZJ 5.2L, but haven't found shit but intake and exhaust. I woudl like to find a new Intake manifold (there are a few edelbrock that would fit but they are all for NON EGR systems) but if u find anything at all let me know Joe dksob81@hotmail.com nick capage 11-14-2004, 01:07 PM I have been looking for some good performance mods for my 94 ZJ 5.2L, but haven't found shit but intake and exhaust. I have shaved the Head 15 thou .Port and polished the head to match the intake and stock exhaust manifold , An Edolbrock Computer Midrange Cam with new lifters and rockers , oversized 60 mm throttle body a cold K&N air filter system getting cold air from the front, blocked off the heat from the side with stainless steel sheetmetal, A Super catback cat from Dynomax with a Turbo muffler from Dynomax with the Tail pipe and An original 02 sensor from jeep, and the smallest Mod witch costs about .10 cents is a 1000 ohms resistor to replace the one that goes on the intake manifold . The pupose of the resistor is to Fool the computer to think that the engine is cold and to give you more fuel all the time even when the engine is warm. Everybody who hears my eggbeater thinks that I have a big block ,its sounds amazing ... Then my suspension is based on the original Up Country suspension coils from Jeep dealer 1 " taller I have added 1 " spacer with Bilstein shocks a Double rear Sway bar my own design mouted under the gastanks skid plate...........if anyone wants to see pictures of the sway the double swaybar design or on anything else just email me at ffixall@yahoo.ca and there is Light at the End of the Tunnel for the inline 6 4.0 L................ Could you send me a link to someplace that sells the parts you mentioned? I have a 98 Grand cherokee limited with 5.2L and haven't had much luck finding computer safe cams or economical headers. etc. all I find is air intake and exhaust and chips and the usual stuff. BenBB 01-12-2006, 08:33 AM Jegs.com or summitracing.com might have some additional stuff on it. On my '96 i have full exhaust, cold air intake, tb spacer, ported and polished, plugs and coils, pcm, cap and rotor. Some of it is from those sites. Thanks for the Info about the resistor. I have known about the mod for a couple of years and I knew exactly what it was and what it does but could never find out the resistance value... Also couldn't see paying some smuck on E-bay $15 dollars or so for something I absolutely knew was less then a quarter just to put it on an ohm meter to check the resistance. Thanks. Also have you experimented on lowering the resistance or raising it ? lets say for richer mixture on the weekends for playtime and less resistance for trips etc? ramairgto72 01-18-2006, 02:54 AM The 318 and 360 have a super charger option from Vortec. New 360 Alum heads are now being made by EDL. Both front and rearends have limited slips and lockers. You can buy chips and the new Hyperpac thing. Cold intake, K&N and Airhog filters. 8.8 spark pkugs and full sets by Accell. You can even get a fully tuned swaybar/spring/control arm kits for high speed driveing. Even new intakes. 4.L_eggbeater 01-20-2006, 02:09 AM Thanks for the Info about the resistor. Hi, not really haven't tried playing around with less resistance, the goal was to find out how to get more power with out going to 23 lbs size injectors from a 19 lbs ,its costly and your always burning more fuel. this way if you want more power just add the resistor and shazam more power for only a quarter...and vice versa for economy..good luck with your experiments ramairgto72 01-20-2006, 03:12 AM man thats like playing with fire. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
