View Full Version : Clean Altezza... Clean Altezza... ZedEx 11-11-2004, 12:25 AM So its a colmination of radical, and simple... Hope you like it. :D Stock: http://img92.exs.cx/img92/2662/IS300J.jpg Modified: *Image removed by ZedEx for ugliness reasons, see post below for update* -Im sorry... That purge is badass looking  Once again I thought the stock color, was fine with this car... And I couldnt find any wheels that tickled my fancy, so I just modified the existing stockies. Any pointers? -Wes ZedEx 11-11-2004, 12:30 AM O and by the way... The intercooler is supposed to be 'Slant' Mounted like that... It wasnt a flaw. -Wes KustmAce 11-11-2004, 12:35 AM Make your CF pattern WAY smaller. And those intercooler pipes seem awful huge. Other than that, everything else looks real nice. BTW, is that a snake in the passenger side air dam? ZedEx 11-11-2004, 12:38 AM Yea thats one thing that shouted out at me... The carbon fiber patern was far too large. I stole that intercooler set-up from a 300ZedX Twin Turbo, the car was at the same angle... But now that I look at it, it does seem a tad large. O and thats not a snake :p ... Air filter Ace... Air filter. -Wes rollercoaster 11-11-2004, 02:19 AM hehehe thats some big ass pipes there and i agree with ace the carbon fibre pattern is really big BuLLDoGG 11-11-2004, 07:51 AM when i saw the car i was pretty much amazed with the way people manage to ruin a great car lol seriously man why would u do somethin like that to a an altezza hahaha plus i couldnt believe that it was u who did it, seriously ur Z with murcielago's bodykit looked waaaaay more professionaly done. even though the IC should be at the angle it is now, it still be wrong perspective wise, air filter (green snake lol) is too visible when u have an intercooler that deep inside u normaly will be able to see just a bit of green and it would be very dimmed, IC pipes are way too large in relation to intercooler itself, mesh grille is wrong perspective wise. purges look good so as rims i like them. actualy if no one would say it was CF patter on the hood, headlights and mirrors then i'd think it was a custom paint job lol ZedEx 11-11-2004, 11:44 AM Just trying something different BuLLDoGG :D Agreed on what you said... Lemme give this another whirl, and see what you guys say, because Im not that happy with it either. -Wes ZedEx 11-11-2004, 11:58 AM Ok... Screw that, Im disgusted with it... This is what I was originally going for, hopefully you like THIS one. http://img34.exs.cx/img34/2359/IS300S.jpg ... There... Maybe that looks better. -Wes KustmAce 11-11-2004, 01:56 PM MUCH BETTER. The CF pattern is still a tad on the large size though, shrink it down so you can barely see any waeve at all. Then you will have it down pat. This might help for reference, though my contrast is off so its not real shiny: http://img104.exs.cx/img104/4350/1mazda.gif BTW, that purge is badass ZedEx 11-11-2004, 03:32 PM Ok, so your saying make the hood like the rear views covers? Makes sense... This project has given me some crazy ideas... You've gotta see what Im working on now I'll give you a hint... Its a G35... And it has carbon fiber... Lots... And Lots... of Carbon Fiber :D Its going to take me a day or so, but I'll make a new thread for it. Anyways, thanks for the input. -Wes BuLLDoGG 11-12-2004, 07:00 AM i still like rims and pruges, those look cool. carbon fiber looks better but IMO its a bit large and curved, thats just my opinion crazy_canuck 11-12-2004, 07:25 PM The rims are slick and i've never though about a NOS purge before, I can only suggest to make the CF pattern smaller, instead of using the spin blur, use the twirl filter a little bit and use layer blendings to help ease the transition of carbon fiber into the hood..... ZedEx 11-12-2004, 07:32 PM ... I did crazy canuck :p Filter - Distort - Twirl @ -20 on that application And its multiple layered for a better hi-light lo-light effect. Yea the Nitrous purge is becoming my personal signature... Its so sweet looking :D -Wes Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
