Hey all, I'm getting ready to install my 3" skyjacker lift kit on my 1993 k1599 this weekend. I notcied that the kit requires a special puller tool to take the load off the torsion bars and remove the adjusting bolt. I found it online but, it's around $70 and up. It just looks like a modified C-clamp. Anyone know if there is any other way to do this. I checked with the dealer and they wont loan or sell the tool, so Im kind of stuck. Also, anyone know of any other roadblocks Im going to run into on this project? I'd like to finish it over the weekend, but we'll see...

Take a little trip down to AutoZone, Napa, or any other local auto parts store. They should have the puller you are looking for.

Do you still have the link for the one you found? I'm trying to think of what it looks like (never had a vehicle with torsion bars!!!).

No one carries this tool. I called autozone, napa, pep boys, schucks. Even some special rental tool places and the dealer....no luck. It looks like I might be able to use a big C clamp though...we'll see

oh wow, ya I would just use a C-Clamp. They sure are trying to rip people off by selling that "special" tool!!! Especially when c-clamps that size can be found for around $2-$3...
