Newer GS rims for 1995 Regal??dstacey 11-09-2004, 09:36 PM I own a 1995 Regal Custom and I am looking to put on the newer style GS chrome rims. The body styles are different so I am wondering if it will work. I don't want to buy them and not have them fit. tman 11-10-2004, 03:26 PM The wheel lug patterns are the same, but you'll need to go ti tirerack.com, and find a converter to find the correct tire size for your car. Ruley73 11-11-2004, 12:42 AM If your Regal is a Gran Sport or came with 16" wheels then you ahould be able to use the the newer 16" wheels and tires with no adjustments or modifications. The 16" tires are the same size (225/60/16) and are totally interchangable between the newer and older Regals. So if you come across a set of 16" wheels with good tires on them then you could just mount them and be done. The newer Regals have bigger brakes so the older wheels probably won't work with them. However, the newer wheels should definitely mount OK with the older Regals though. If your Regal came with 15" wheels, the 16" wheels will still mount OK but your speedometer will indicate that you are going slower than you really are because it is calibrated for 15" wheels and obviously 16" wheels have a larger circumference. A dealership may be able to recalibrate the speedometer to accomodate a different tire size, but I'm not sure that. The 15" wheels are also interchangable. The original tire size is different between the older (205/70/15) and newer (215/70/15) Regals. So you will need to get the different tires mounted on the newer wheels if you want your speedometer to remain accurate. tman 11-11-2004, 01:50 AM Ruley, I was counting on him having 15's, but a change in tire size will eliminate the need to recalibrate the speedo as well. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
