84 S10 Mystery PlugBLAZERBOY69 11-08-2004, 03:56 PM Got A Mystery Plug That I Can't Seem To Find The Receptacle For. It Is A Two Wire Plug, Up Near The Carb, The Connector Is A Recessed Spade, And One Terminal Is At 90 Degreeds From The Other. I Checked The Wiring Schematic, And All The Pictures In Both Haynes And Chiltons, And Neither Would Tell Me What The Hell This Thing Is. The Car Runs Fine With It Being Unplugged, So I'm Thinking It Might Be A Diagnostic Hookup, But There Is No Cover For It To Protect The Terminals. Any Help In Identifying This P.o.s. Would Be Much Appreciated. dugie6551 11-08-2004, 04:12 PM Can you post a picture of it? It will also help if you tell us some details on engine type, size, carborated or FI, trans type. We need more info!!! BLAZERBOY69 11-08-2004, 05:00 PM 2.8l V6 Carb Auto Tranny. BLAZERBOY69 11-09-2004, 11:31 AM I Didn't Mean That I Don't Know Where Or How To Post, I Meant That I Don't Have A Digital Camera To Take Pictures >:( BLAZERBOY69 11-09-2004, 12:54 PM The Plug Has A Off-white Head, And It Is Shaped Like And "l" Except Upsidedown. Two Wires, One Wire For Each Part Of The "l" alleng 11-21-2004, 11:30 PM Some carb 2.8s have a devise called an efe heater in the base gasket under the carb to help atomized the fuel when the engine is cold. As most part stores either don't stock it or don't have any idea how to look it up it usually gets replaced with just a plain carb gasket an you end up with a "mystery plug" that does'nt have a home anymore. hotwheelsgt 11-22-2004, 12:38 AM ya i have the same mystery plug and ya it is to the efe and some trucks just dont have the warmer (the efe is a manifold pre warmer) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
