Citroen Xsara street machinesaromaki 11-08-2004, 12:42 PM Hi, Here it is. I've finally started my Xsara project. Actually it's been on the table for over a month now. I've just been busy doing other non-modelling stuff. First I want to thank Dave from Detail and Design in Scale! Without his huge help this project would not be possible for me. I can sincerely recommend Dave to everyone! The best service ever. Anyway, it's a WRC -> Street conversion. A tribute to my own Xsara. Some conversions planned: Rear lights from S2000 Honda Lowering (already done) VeilSide wheels Custom IC NOS Some ICE CF Hood SAS Brakes SAS Sparco Corsa Seats Here are two pics of it. Still in the beginning but slowly getting there... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Sammy79/takasivu.jpg Getting those S2000 lights fit in there is going to be a pain in the ass. I tried and right now I'm stuck. Don't know what to do. The holes are already cut in the right shape though. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Sammy79/sivu.jpg Should it be lower? I think not... I was thinking about painting it Candy Lime Green (Kawasaki Ninja Green) over gold...it might add the golden candy effect to the paint. It's just that I'm not that familiar with that painting a color over another technique... Anyway, here it is. Feel free to comment. weaponCIVIC 11-08-2004, 01:54 PM looking good. i dont think it needs to be any lower than that. for painting...do many mist coats. until your desired hue is achieved. Jurva 11-08-2004, 02:12 PM Very interesting project you got there. Its needs helluwa wheels arches. Nice! DasWiesel 11-08-2004, 04:45 PM :eek7: I canīt imagine what the Honda-lights will look like in there, but it sounds interesting. I will follow your progress. :grinyes: ol' dude 11-08-2004, 05:43 PM Looks to be a cool project!! Keep us posted on the progress!!! bimbachetuning 11-09-2004, 05:30 AM This is a real spanish Xsara "Top Performance", with the same rear lights from Honda S2000. This car its have a multiple winners in spanish and international meetings. I put here the pics only for ideas :naughty: http://www.xematuning.com/2004/reportajes/data/media/18/gti0987.jpg http://www.xematuning.com/2004/reportajes/data/media/18/gti0988.jpg http://www.xematuning.com/2004/reportajes/data/media/18/gti0653.jpg http://www.xematuning.com/2004/reportajes/data/media/18/gti1163.jpg http://www.xematuning.com/2004/reportajes/data/media/18/gti1164.jpg http://www.xematuning.com/2004/reportajes/data/media/18/gti1165.jpg http://www.xematuning.com/2004/reportajes/data/media/18/gti1166.jpg http://www.xematuning.com/2004/reportajes/data/media/18/gti1167.jpg Good project, man :loser: GT-Alex 11-09-2004, 10:14 AM It don't need to be lower i think. Nice project, i like the S2000 lights, and the front ones too. turbo type-r 11-09-2004, 05:37 PM that car is sick primera man 11-09-2004, 08:33 PM Cant wait to see this one saromaki 11-10-2004, 02:14 AM I'm just clarifying that even though that Spanish Xsara has inspired me, my Xsara will NOT be an exact copy. I might have to change the color to red over gold because my planned color is so close to the one in the pics. Anyway...we'll see what's going to happen. I'm really slow modeller and build only when I'm in the mood. I might have weeks between my modelling sessions...so expect slow progress :disappoin The front lights are going to be stock Phase 2 ones with slight modifications. For those who have no idea what Phase 2 headlights look like, just take a look at this years WRC Xsara. The Spanish Xsara is Phase 1. hrmodeler 11-10-2004, 02:32 AM Looking forward to se more! :-) Wheelin75r 11-10-2004, 03:10 AM Good luck!! Seems like a nice project. deedlit 11-10-2004, 12:58 PM Interesting projects, I'll follow it. You spanish guys have incredible cars, I'd like to see one of your tuning meetings, it must be incredible. rx7king 11-10-2004, 03:08 PM thats nuts willimo 11-10-2004, 04:05 PM S2000 lamps look yummy on that car. That's a conversion that actually works. That's some serious ambition, good luck! This will be beautiful. joecwlaw 11-10-2004, 07:14 PM Love the Citroen. I like the first version of the front light of the Xsara. look forward for your progress pics. saromaki 11-11-2004, 12:51 AM Thanks for the support and kind words. I'll try to make some progress today. If I can figure out easily how to install the rear lights, I might try to fit in also the S2000 head lights. That might go too ricey but looking at the Xsaras original 'frog-eyes' just makes me sick. :disappoin Sorry there are no pics yet. I'll post later today some pics of the intercooler I made... I also decided to leave off all the suspension and engine parts that are not visible. The Heller kit is really a crappy one and lacks a lot of detail under the car and at engine bay. And my skills as a modeller are not high enough to scratchbuild that much. AngelSaxo 11-11-2004, 12:22 PM hello men!! A long time that I don't happen to me through the forum, are stopped projects and lack of desire to finish them... but I leave pics in addition to those of my friend bimbache, of the "Spanish Xsara" http://www.angelsaxo.com/fotosvarias/06290063.jpg http://www.angelsaxo.com/fotosvarias/06290064.jpg http://www.angelsaxo.com/fotosvarias/06290065.jpg http://www.angelsaxo.com/fotosvarias/06290066.jpg http://www.angelsaxo.com/fotosvarias/06290067.jpg vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
