The turnout for this meeting was huge, as it was the last meeting before our Annual model show.

I was kind of rushed taking pics just before the end of the meeting, and a bunch of them came out fuzzy. All of the ones that came out bad will be present at our show, and I will take lots of pics of them then.

Even Kunta showed up from Japan!!! (not really in the flesh but a car was present he's built)
Kunta was nice enough to send his beatuiful F355 for display at our show next weekend. His work is truly fantastic.

Amazing selection of exotica there today! Funny how one of the older club members wasn't on the same page when he commented on our needing to do a club build project, and we told him that's pretty much what last year's 350Z's were, and this year's Miuras. I guarantee he wanted us all to break out and dance for a street rod, while we've already been boogyin' to our own beat!

Hehe, next year we've got small blocks for a theme, and soon we've got '04 and '05 GTO kits coming...hmmm, do I smell a potential underground theme?

I think I counted somewhere around 30 models on the table yesterday. It was a really good meeting.

Just a taste of what the ACME NNL is going to be like.

Thanks, Matt and Brian!
I'm little envious my F355, 'cause I've never visited in United States.

Is that 73 Chevy Wagon the modelhaus kit?

Yes. He did a ton of conversions to it, to make a replica of his old 1:1 wagon. He opened the hood, using a derelict '73 kit that I gave him (it was horrible, but had the parts he needed). He removed the wood trim, and added Buick rims. If he could have figured out how to make a working clamshell tailgate, I'm sure he would have. It does have poseable steering, and he replaced all the molded-in exhaust w/scratchbuilt exhaust.

Someday I'll get to mine, it's a neat kit.

Great pics! Wish I came, but I think its better that I spend my time preparing for the big one.

Matt, bring your Camera to NNL. I think you, Bob, Dennis, Brian, and whoever else brings camera's should make a big thread with all these pics. I for one am going out to buy a new card for my camera, its only capable of 1927 pics. I hope its enough.

Beautiful models, all. Just a gorgeous collection there, amazing how much talent is centered around Atlanta (and shipped in from Japan). What's the story on the VW bus, truck, thing whatever?

I just bought a new digital camera! 4MP with all the bells and whistles.

I have 3 different memory cards, and I plan on filling them all up..

If our meeting yesterday was any indication of the show it's gonna be a great one..

The VW truck was built by ACME's President Henry Trent. It was damaged while display at a hobby shop, and recently rebuilt with resin Ferrari Challenge wheels. It was also slammed to the weeds during the rebuild.

The Porsche on the back of it is 1:82nd?? scale. He jokingly placed it on the back of the bed and called it a go-cart.

The 908 (?) I think was made by LeMans miniatures, and is 1/87th scale. Cute little bugger.

Thanks for the pics!! Nice to see the Miura brigade in formation... ;)

So, what's going on with the international model exchange program? Kunta, have you commissioned your own work as a traveling exhibit?!? :)

Great turnout and pics. Love the army of Miuras and the orange on your Murcielago looks even more realistic than in it's completed thread. Good luck with your annual show. :D
