I just got into the hobby, but hit a kind of speed bump as I'm waiting for my big order of paints to arrive. :) Anyway, I was rather disappointed with the lack of modern car model forums - I visit RMS (rec.models.scale) regularly, but it's mostly armor/airplane/classic American auto over there. And that's pretty much the case everywhere else on the web.

Now I find a forum that builds the kind of cars I'm interested in. :) This is such a gold mine!

Anyway, thought you'd like to know what models I'm working on. Right now, this:
http://www.hlj.com/images/tam/tam24104box.gif
and
http://www.hlj.com/images/tam/tam14075box.gif

My first model was the Tamiya 300ZX, it's finished but looks horrible! Oh well, first one's the worst anyways. :)

Also have done a Subaru WRX STi (noticeably better than the 300ZX, but still rather iffy).

My stash: Mazda 787B, Toyota GT-One TS020 (full view), Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI New Zealand version, and Telefonica Suzuki RGV 2000.

Well, that's all about me. I look forward to posting on this board a lot in the future. :)

 I used to watch r.m.s often, but it was really hard for me to find thing I was interested in on r.m.s, too. :( I should post our address there more often... :thinkerg:

Welcome. Pics are good. ;)

Do a thread on the bike too. I'm thinking I might try one some day.

Hell yeah, modern is where we are at!
Warren knocks out lots of modern stuff, though he had a funny turn recently and is doing some dodgy Willy thing!!!

The rest of us like the modern stuff, especially the race cars or Japanese GT stuff!
A few do the 70's Muscle cars which have a special look, but something I don't do yet!
Post some pics of what you have, it is good to see how you progress! We all started once too!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I appreciate it :)

I don't have a digital camera right now, but I am getting one, and actually my scanner just decided to start working today :) So I will see to try to getting some pictures of my Subaru on here :)

My local hobby shop has some old junker Tamiya Mercedes and Saab cars, from like the mid-80s, that even HLJ doesn't list! They're around $30 each, if you're interested, just tell me and I will see waht I can do :)

Anyway, here's to great modelling in the future!

Went today. My memory must be getting bad  didn't see any Saabs, but I did see several really old Tamiya Mercedes Benz's (1982, I would estimate)

Sorry! :(
