Clutch Release bearing

I'm replacing the clutch release bearing in my YJ. When I'm taking it off I notice that on the hydraulic line is 'locked' in place. It looks like it snaps in to never be able to disconnected. My new bearing has a much larger adapter on its side of the line. The line is made of a plastic material so I'm afraid to break that. The line that comes off of the bearing assembly is flared at the end. The line coming from the master cylinder has this cylindrical connector that attaches onto the line via this snap clip that only lets it go one way. (Kind of the way a chinese finger trap works) has anyone heard of this or had this problem? I can't find a single thing, sorry for the lack of description, its something wierd that I've never seen... Thanks!

Not sure as I haven't done this job, but -

Did you say your new bearing has an adaptor with it? Check to see if it will plug into where the old one is; maybe the old one is meant to be replaced and has a fitting a little bit back from where it comes out of the trans.
