El Camino drum brakes to s10 disk brakespunker2083 11-05-2004, 08:44 PM I have a 1968 El Camino with 4 wheel drum brakes. I was wondering if anybody heard of using the front disk brakes from a 1991 Blazer 4 wheel drive disk brake setup and if it would mount right to my El camino. Thanks!!!! J-Ri 12-11-2004, 04:54 PM I've never heard of that specifically, but people switch parts all the time. You may have to cut and weld some stuff, and you will have to put a new master cylinder on that has capacity for the extra brake fluid you will need. If you don't put a new master cylinder on, you should check and fill EVERY time you drive it. You definately don't want the front brakes going out. texwill 01-19-2005, 03:47 AM let us know if you do it, I have a 66 with drums I would like to change over! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
