Hello gang, I've got a problem with my 99 Taco TRD 4x4. Had to replace the rear wheel cylinders yesterday, went pretty well. I bled the rear brakes, but the pedal was still real low, so I bled them again. This time, tried to bleed the front brakes, but the bleeders are stuck in the calipers. I tried to force one, but it started to round off the nut. Anybody got any ideas how to bleed them?

Thanks,
Todd

Todd: Sounds like you may be using an open end wrench. Try using a six point wrench or socket to loosen the bleeder, after it is loose you can use an open end wrench for bleeding. Good luck, Clifton

agreed use a socket and if you use penetrating oil. keep in mind it could contaminate the brake fluid. so clean around the area well if you do.

Thanks for your replies. I was using a nice 6 point wrench, those suckers were stuck! I ended up soaking in Liquid Wrench, and using some (cringe) ViseGrips. They finally came loose, though one is pretty much rounded off. I suppose I'll have to replace it at some point. What a pain. I never thought much about contaminating the brake fluid. I did wipe off around the area, and I don't think there was any liquid left floating around... but I wasn't real careful about it. I guess we'll see what happens....

Thanks again for your help!
