Hello,
Is it easy for a person with mimnimal mechanical knowledge and tools to replace the radiator fan clutch ? My mechanic says the clutch is stuck on a high setting , which means the fan is running at high speed all the time. I hear a high whoosh when driving, i guess from the fan running so fast. I just spent 550$$ on 90K service and drive belt replacements... so I am looking to save 100$ in labor charges.
Can I just leave the clutch as it is ? will it cause to fan to come apart or something.
thanks
Jay

If it is anything like mine, there are only four 10mm nuts holding it in place and they are easy to get to.
Maybe your setup is different than mine and someone with a 1997 can weigh in on this subject and help you out.
