I was just wondering if any one has had to replace their hose going from the turbo to the air box? I noticed that my hose was cracked and starting to fall apart when I was doing my head gasket. My question is would it be cheaper to have one custom made verses just buying the OE from a dealer their price is only $49. I have looked at a lot of pictures on the Internet and have only seen a few cars that have custom hoses. By the way my car is an 1989 with a 7MGTE. Thanks for the help.

hey,
I replaced mine lately. I would just get the stock one. it is just easier, and if you want to increase airflow, it works fine with the lexus afm or whatever you call it. plus you need all the air and bov hose connections. making one would be a huge pain.

By the way, did you do you head gasket yourself, tighten or new
I was planning on tightening mine, and wanted to know how hard it was.

one more thing, if you have a hole in it or cracked , get a new one soon!
