I got a code 42 for my 96 GC Limited V8. I surfed on the web and found out it's a "Automatic Shutdow Relay"=Check relay and circuit"? Does anyone know what does it mean and what could be possibly wrong with the truck? Any helps will be appreciated!

The ADS Relay is located in the power distribution center. The PCM will set a code if it dosent see 12 volts when relay should be activated it will set acode. Check for corrosion on relay.
