LS/VTEC stickyb18ls 11-02-2004, 09:58 AM Can we get a sticky for some of the many ls/vtec questions. Post all helpfull info here. All walkthroughs and DIY tips can be put on a sticky. This will help some of the new members and refresh the old ones. http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/lsvtec/lsvtec.php knorwj 11-02-2004, 11:06 AM Its called a FAQ thread and we already have one. try reading it. b18ls 11-02-2004, 01:55 PM Its called a FAQ thread and we already have one. try reading it. No offense, but it kinda sucks. My suggestion is post a sticky labled ls/vtec and only people with helpfull ls/vtec suggestions post on it. Do you think newbies are going to read through 6 pages posts hoping to find info on a good set up. Hell, most mewbies don't even know about it. JDM nutt... CivicSpoon 11-02-2004, 02:45 PM newbies shouldn't be doing LS/VTEC's. Not even all certified mechanics should be doing it either. I know a few people who have done it, who work on Hondas every day and have blown it up in a week or less. In reality it should be up there with the ease of doing an h22 swap; it's not for everyone. And yes newbies should be forced to read thru 6 pages of info on good setups. Because they need to get informed before they make a quick decision and end up spending a ton more $ when they blow their sh*t up and have to buy a new engine. There are too many newbies on here who read something and assume they can do it with no problem, when they should be reading more info and getting informed before they even consider it. whtteg 11-02-2004, 04:55 PM Also they can use the Search function! Then they will not have to read all 6 pages, they can just skim over them looking for the read text. I understand that you are tring to help here, but if we had a one sticky for every common question then we would fill up most of the first page with them. Not a good idea. b18ls 11-02-2004, 08:12 PM First, not everyone that's new to computers/AF is new to cars. All newbies aren't high school idiots. I was on AF for two months before I knew how to use the search button. (Hence the reason I don't insult people for questions like "which exhaust should I get") I read all the rules, but I'm not a computer guro. [quote]newbies shouldn't be doing LS/VTEC's. Truth be told, I didn't know what the hell it was until I heard someone talk about it a couple of weeks ago. Listen, make it a sticky, or don't. It just seemed like it would help if newbies knew where to look with out some one giving them smart ass remarks first. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
