Accord died while driving...continueleo16 11-01-2004, 08:43 PM Please accept my apology for starting a new thread. For some reasons, I couldn’t post any more messages to the old one… Mpumas – Thanks for all the advices. I will definitely post the result once I have figured out the cause of my problem. I sure don’t want anyone else to go through the same situation that I’m going through right now. Illsmokeu – Thanks for posting. Did your friend had to get a new set of keys also along with a new ignition switch, and was his problem completely fixed? If you and your friend don’t mind, can I ask how much did it costed? Rstein13 – Thanks for the suggestions. My car once died on the driveway at my brother’s house. It was sitting outside for about an hour. So I have a family member to come by and checked it out. He can fix cars but when it comes to electrical, he prefered that the dealer to look at it. However, he tested couple of things, and the car started again. He stated that the cause maybe the ECU. The ECU may not be intrusting the fuel pump to pump enough gas into the engine. Yes, just added to the list of many things that causes my problem. I just started a new job and my drive time is shorter now, because I am taking the train most of the way. I don’t take the car anywhere that will take longer than ten minutes of drive time nor do I use it on the weekend. I really need to take it to the dealer, but I dread that trip if you know what I mean. Thanks again! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
