fujimi touge series gx71 chaserEl Krammito 11-01-2004, 06:46 PM here's a gx71 i started last year. originally i was going to paint it tan and use the watanabes that came with the kit. i looked at it last week and noticed i never really got rid of all the mold lines. so now the new plan is to paint it white, and use the techno tvr and ssr MKII on it. i already glued the grill on thinking i was finished so i'll have to mask that off when i spray the white paint on. other plans are a fujimi dual splattered metal muffler. http://members.cox.net/elkrammito/images/chaserprogress.jpg SupaMan89T 11-01-2004, 07:13 PM Ahh I Envy You! El Krammito 11-04-2004, 05:10 PM today i was able to spray the first coat of white paint on the chaser body, which used to be tan. i first sprayed a coat of silver base to make sure the white would be as light as possible. also pictured is the interior/chassis of the touge levin i'm also working on. i've only primered it so far. this weekend will be raining so i will have to hold off on more painting until later next week. http://members.cox.net/elkrammito/images/chaserprogress2.jpg SupaMan89T 11-04-2004, 09:40 PM Awsome just awsome. :) El Krammito 11-08-2004, 12:08 AM now sporting white paint. just need to sand it down with some fine grit sandpaper and then go over it with the rubbing compound. before: http://members.cox.net/elkrammito/images/chaserprogress.jpg after: http://members.cox.net/elkrammito/images/chaserprogress3.jpg day pics coming soon. how do you like the new shoes?
