2000 Odometer Cable Buzz

2000 Merc GM has horrible buzz behind the instrument panel when going in excess of 55mph. the faster we go the louder it buzzes. Sounds like the odometer cable. has anyone had this?? possible recall or simple fix?

I have same problem with 2000 marquis,very frustrating no one seems to know how to fix

what you got to do is look under the hood at the rubber lining on the rim around your windshield. you see that it will be missing a very small section all you have to do is move the rubber over about 10 inches and the problem will be fixed
