man this was a fun race, one of the races that you walk away really glad about it. I lost, but still was a good time. Ok so im driving home from work, and for the fun of it i decided to take the long route home. Well on my way, i try and get a few guys to race, no one takes. Then i see this WRX ahead of me, i instantly turn into a giddy little school girl. I pull of next to him, do and look over, he looks back and just grins. So i punch it and do a quick pull out to let him know im not a normal cavalier. He just sits back, so im like wtf (I later learned that he was changing is map program). Then he pulls up next to me, and lets his turbo scream. It was loud as fuck. His car wasnt an STI, just a turbo WRX. So he pulls of next to me and we chat for a few mins. Turns out hes running 13 PSI and runs a 13.2 in the 1/4 mile. So from a roll of about 35 MPH we both hit it, he instantly pulls a car length on me and we stay almost dead even untill about 80 MPH when he starts to run on me. Like ive said before, after 80MPH my car falls on its face untill about 90MPH. Afterwards we talk for a little more, just BS about cars and junk. LOL we were doing about 15 MPH in a 45MPH zone, talk about your anti street racing street racers. So going slow i see a green light up ahead about to change, so we coast into. I knew he was gonna take me from a dig, but i just wanted to see how good id do. Light turns green we both take off, i spin to much and traction control kicks in and slows me down. Luckily for me, he blew the launch and bogged it down, we were dead even, but he quickly pulled about a car length on me, and then once we got to about 80 MPH he pulled hard on me. So after that ive already missed my turn by about 5 miles, and i was worried my luck was gonna run out with no cops so far. So i say good races and later, he does the same, the end. It was a great death cause i had a ton of fun, he gave me props for my car which was nice to hear. Just a cool guy to race. Afterwards i had that nice adrenaline rush where your all shaky and shit. I still am. . .wow fun night.

Great race and good story man, sounds like fun. You would definitely beat a stock WRX. Even with the death, I'm sure he was pretty surprized to see a Cavalier holding within one car length till 80. Gotta love those sleepers. Props.

as for him, thats what he said. So all i got is his word. It sounded nice and loud, like a ton of air was moving. OHhh also, his shifting wasnt the greatest in the world, it seemed a little slow. He also said the car only had 13K miles on it, so i dont know how much experience he had with it.

Stock exhaust? You might be able to get better airflow if you work no the exhaust a little.
