truck won't go into drive-anybody know what the problem is?

2000 Silverado LS 1500 truck. Truck starts but will not go into drive. Can anybody help?

Can you get it out of park? If it won't come out of park with your foot on the brake see if there is a fuse for BTSI in the under the hood fuse/relay center and remove it and try again
