Hydraulic line to TOB removal?

I need to pull the transmission out of my F150 ('95 6cyl 5sp) for a clutch replacement and I see no way to detach the hydraulic line leading to the throw-out bearing. There is an inspection port on thebellhousing and I see a bolt next to the line, does that bolt secure the hyd. line?

Thanks

It is a plastic line. The line attaches to the slave cylinder's brass fitting in such a way I have never seen. No flats to unscrew it with a wrench or anything .. Maybe it snaps in??

Yes, it snaps in, much like a quick disconnect fuel line. You'll see a white plastic collar there, I cannot recall whether you pull it back, or push it ahead to get the line to diconnect, then you pull the line out, and you're off

I have had trouble disconnecting these. Quick connect is an incorrect name..... anyway, good luck

Thanks for the info ... yeah "quick connect" is an incorrect name, Im about ready to cut it ....

Also, the darn cross member bolts are non-standard size!!!

Head to the auto parts store and get the correct disconnect tool. Otherwise, you will end up tearing your hair out!

I got it disconnected ....

using as flat screwdriver tip, you must push that nylon/plastic piece up into the fitting, you have to work your way around the circumference of the fitting until the plastic piece is pushed all the way up in there .... then is pulls right out! EASY!
