mod chip

hey guys, i'm new here. just wanted ta ask a quick question
does that mod chip on ebay really work????
i have a 94 accord LX

I actually bought one of the mod chips which is actually a resistor. I must say it does increase your valve timming.

I checked into that a while back (for my Toyota 4 runner) and found details that you don't want to use them in colder climates (can't remember why though). They don't tell you that!

I would stay away from it. Total waste of $$ as far as I'm concerned.

They are POS. It isn't a chip, it's a resistor. They don't do anything except lie to your ECU about 1 of 2 things...either they lie about the ambient temperature of the air coming in...this causes your ECU to dump more fuel into the engine...making you run rich, which may feel more powerful, but it is actually worse for performance.
Or 2) They lie about the throttle position sensor, and say that you are flooring the car, when you are only pushing the pedal down halfway...Eitherway it is a waste of money. Don't buy them period.. You can do a search on AF...I gaurentee you'll find thousands of threads all saying the same thing. Any knowledgable person will tell you the same.
