Alright I have an L7 solo baric and a kicker amp 800.2 and well today It just stoped outa nowhere I had it way up and i tried everything it wont work. But anyway its 4 Guage wiring and its grounded to a bolt under the back seat and I touched the hot to the ground and there isnt any sparks and the fuse under the hood is good? so could the wiring of melted underneathe the carpet? or can a ground just stop working...

Just make sure your ground is making good contact, remove it and sand away any paint. Could your amp have an overload cutoff in it? If this were the case, it would come back on after it cooled.

Does the amp not turn on? Or are the sub busted? Make sure the remote wire didn't get disconnected.

The fuse should blow before the wire overheats, however I have seen one hold as the positive wire to my stereo got so hot it started cutting htrough the plastic dash. Test the continuity of the wire runs under the carpet if need be.

The fuse is good, so start your trace back from there with a good multimeter.
