93 wont startRose Hawk 10-28-2004, 03:42 PM I have a 93 S-10 Blazer. 4.3L Vortec. It died at a stop light and will not start now. All it does is turn over. But does not fire at all. I was told by two friends that are long time mechanics that it was the timeing chain. Well we replaced the timing chain and it still will not start. We hear the fuel pump when we first turn the key. Can any one please suggest what to check next? I need the thing before winter gets here. Thank you for your help Rose Hawk shadow-rider 10-28-2004, 06:17 PM I also have a 93 with a "W" engine. Mine did the same thing and it turned out to be the ignition module. About $40 at checker. It is located in the base of the distibuter and is what the wires hook into. Fairly easy to change out. Runs like a champ now. Rose Hawk 10-29-2004, 09:04 AM The garage said it was the distribuator and the roter button. Its running a little rought but not not too bad :) Thanks for your help BlazerLT 10-29-2004, 03:20 PM Make sure you time the truck again and make sure they installed it properly and are not a tooth off. Tell them to disconnect the beige and brown timing wire going to the computer under the glove compartment to time it right. Rose Hawk 10-29-2004, 03:32 PM Thank you so much for your time. I will do that. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
