I was on my way home from school yesterday and pulled up next to a black WRX at a stoplight. It had aftermarket exhaust and no visible STI badges, so it was prolly the 227hp version. Anyway, he just accelerated normally from the light, and I floored it, but he still had a car length on me :( Pretty sad, eh? At the next light we actually raced, and he had buslengths on me. We then did a couple 50mph rolls, which I lost, of course. The guy was real cool, and we waved and went our own ways.

It was fun getting owned LOL, btw, this was in my camry

Yes. WRXs probably weigh less and have a lot more power. Samandiar has the advantage off the line because his car is FWD and we all know how much AWD sucks off the line. The WRX can't stand a chance against his 4 bangin' monster!

How can two wheels putting the power down be better than 4???? fwd sucks big time in anything over 180BHP cause the wheels just cant put the power down efficiently to be effective above that power, and RWD will just smoke them tyres.

What are you talking about man. FWD is the shit, esepecially in high speed twisties. You'll never experience wheel hop or torque steering with FWD cars!

hmmm 4wd vs. RWD...........i'd say the only way RWD would be able to keep up with 4wd off the line is with slicks. those do absolute wonders.

Yeah, I know FWD 4-cyl Camrys are crap, but how could i resist being a dumbass and racing him. I dont take this kind of thing too seriously, so it didnt hurt my "ricer ego." My car is totally stock and I think it weighs like 2900 lbs, so I did have a weight advantage, but DEFINITELY not a HP advantage
