I found the leak for my escort on I believe is the intake... I can stick my finger underneath and notice the change in the running of the engine right away but the bolts are very tough to get at... I have the gasket for the change but is there anything I should before I attempt at changing it?

such as is there any couplers in there that I might need a special tool for or something that I would need any specific tools?

I'm guessing a long enough extension with a pivote head socket should be able to get in to those bolts.. any other suggestions?

Welll since no one is replying i will then lol..

I bought an extension from a pawn shop and was able to use that to take the bolts off the intake.. I then removed the air breather assemble and used a small crowbar to pull the intake back... all went great with the cleaning and gasket replacement.

After I tightened everything together, I could not get this wire assembly clip to close properly, this wire assembly clip is not on the the intake but close enough to it I had to unclip it to work on the gasket. I am thinking it has something to do with the cam shaft sensor because now I'm getting a check engine light on all the time and I still can't get that assembly together all the way.. I will probably break it if I try ... and the car seems to be running really well the check engine.

Any Ideas on this engine lite problem?
